This hotel was wonderful. We stayed in a regular room and truly enjoyed the experience. The bed was comfortable and the food was great in the restaurant. This hotel was also quite central making its location ideal as well.

It was one of the most heart breaking things we have seen. So we went inside and got them each a package of crackers and each a bottle of water. These kids literally jumped up and down with joy. At home kids would complain to have to drink water as opposed to juice or soda, not the kids ...

In the evening we headed into Liverpool to watch 'Let it Be', a show that has come straight from London's West End, showcasing the music of the Fab Four. With around 40 Beatles songs in the show it was pretty much non-stop hit after hit after hit. The audience were certainly up ...

... Cilla Black but last night at the restaurant at our hotel we had a lovely young lady, Abbie, as our waitress. She had a delightful accent but we could not understand a lot of what she was saying so Chris had to ask her to repeat herself on several occasions. She took it all with good humour and said she couldn’t work out if we were New Zealanders of Australians because we all sound alike. We told her that we were Tasmanians - a different breed altogether.

The post game transport options were crowded and lacking so I decided to try and walk off the beers, curry wurst and chips so I made the 5km walk back into town. After a few more beers with my Egyptian roommates (not sure if they were being naughty Muslims or were Christian Egyptians????) it was time for bed after ticking off yet another items of my life ...

I was very lucky that the ancestors in 1850 had the family researched and a book was written. Five copies of the book were published on the family beginnings back to William the Conqueror. There were 3 young brothers who were on their own and assumed the name of Comberbach.
