    London - before Contiki starts

We made it.... The flights were fine - great entertainment, edible food and a window seat, however i fell ill and ended up for the first 11 hours being friends with a paper bag! The second leg was a lot better! We both slept a few hours and managed to avoid being near cying babies. We touched down in London at 8.40 am (45 mins late, which was ok!) and got the piccadilly train line to our hotel in Russel Square. We arrived at ...

... Scottish history. It was actually really good and entertaining, and we definitely got scared. They had good props, effects and really good actors. Finally Hurricane Bertha arrived to Edinburgh. It was less than a tropical storm but very annoying never the less. We went to Sunday Mass at the Chaplaincy and had coffee with lovely people afterwards. My sister cooked a delicious lamb dinner and we spent the afternoon choosing the festival events we wanted to attend. After drinking hot teas and digestives we settled for watching BBC 4 by a beautiful fire in their salon's fireplace. Now to ...

... I’ve ever had in my life. Me and Chris got to sleep at about 11pm, then I woke up at 1am as Chris was pushing me off the bed (it was a really hot night, so I don’t blame him), then woke up at 2am when a German girl came into the dorm and turned the light on (she didn’t realise she had dorm mates, she felt so awful bless her), then another German came in at 3am, Phil at 4am after meeting an American girl, and Rach at 6am ...
