... in memory of the 600 famine victims who traveled on foot to seek help from those in authority, only to bro turned. Hundreds of these people died en route, from hunger and a sudden severe storm that overtook them on their way home. We continued our journey, ending in Westport for the night at the Clew Bay Hotel. ... at all. Today we went to the Bunratty Castle, and went to another cousins' house. First I will talk about the castle... then our family. We climbed up and up steps. ... to meet up with Tom and Maura for a very relaxing lunch in Killaloe. It was very good and very filling!! It was lovely to catch up with Ger's mum and dad.
You can see by the pics who ventured in. On our last day heading to Rosslare, we stopped off in Kilkenny to visit the castle and park. we took a picnic and the kids really enjoyed the play part there. The weather was very kind to us and it stayed dry. ...
