I traveled to Hongkong all alone with only two pairs of shirt & pants, 1 underwear and a swimsuit. That was my first time to travel to Hongkong and I was completely ignorant about the place except that I had a few glimpse of Hongkong maps. After retrieving my very light luggage, I directly went to the exit area. My first idea was to board a taxicab and tell the driver about the hotel address. While thinking about it, wild imaginations flashed in my mind such as highway robberry, extortion...

... weekend and ended up taking some photos of the skyline. The weather has not been that great of late although it has cooled down it has still rained quite a bit.
Everything is going well in my house my Hong Kong flat mate has gone to Canada for 3 months to see is sick sister and my French banker house mate I don't see much of, its like having my own place here which is good because I can just relax and watch ...
... and 3 movies later we arrived in Hong Kong feeling unusually refreshed. Got the train and a free bus (thank you Mummy and Daddy W) to the Hostel on the 15th floor and unloaded our bags.
Went for a walk around and grabbed a nice bite to eat....but not the sweet and sour chickens feet which Gary want to try....Yuk!!

... sad to leave it!!!).
Lewey had decided to investigate a video camera, since electronics very cheap. There were multiple stores on way home from Market, although soggy and sore footed Dee was nhj (not happy Jan). We eventually found a potential bargain, Sony camera for $1700HK (around $250 AUD), currently selling in Aus for around $700. After withdrawing some cash (credit card situation was dodgy), we were told to wait for 5 mins while they go and buy the camera from a Sony ...

From the sea of clothes we moved onto an airport hanger sized mall dedicated to cell phones and assorted other electronics which made the mall in Guangzhou look juvenile. It was all a little overwhelming and after you threw in the enthusiastic tide of shoppers ebbing in and out, it was all more then a mere mortal could take. We abandoned our shopping extravaganza for some street meat and then Luke ...
... in one spot. I bargained it down to 1650 HK with a 2 gb memory card. I was pretty happy. I decided to go for it, it would be a big upgrade on my other camera. They swiped my credit card on an old machine making the copy that gets sent off to the bank and stuff. Old style. And then they sent a guy off to pick up my camera in the back. While that guy was gone, they started talking about how, essentially, they'd just sold me a ****** camera ...
Hong Kong, China jimmyandkristen... in again on our next visit. we did some last min shopping where we did our best to overstuff our already bursting luggage. I was also pretty happy that I could find my boots (2 of them !) in Argyle Centre. Each pair only costs me like S$40 whereas e other pair I saw in watercress street a few nights ago was ugly & 3 or 4x e price. left earlier to e ...
Hong Kong, China sofieregitze... a few more places I hadn't yet seen. I sent to the flower market and then the Bird Market. The flower market had all kind of flowers, and especially orchids. The Chinese really like their birds. There were men watching their birds, or moving their cages around to see them better, or get them in the sun or out of the sun... or maybe just taking them for a walk to give them some air, or a different view?? Then ...
Hong Kong, China kaasha... to Hong Kong takes the same picture in front of the HK skyline -- then went to the Zoological and Botanical Gardens, before finishing the afternoon off at the Temple Street Night Market. After a short stop back at the university to shower and change, we headed back out on the town so I could get a cell phone and we could eat some late-night dinner. I packed it in early last night to save up for my last night of partying before school ...
