Last day of the Adventure

Oh dear, last day of the entire trip! No time to sit about moping! Decided to take the tram from our end of the Island right to the other (Kennedy Town) purported to be the Nottingham Hill of Hong Kong. Where that particular reviewer dreamed that up from, I just don't know. There were a few wine bars and cafes but nothing smart. However, the whole …

Hong Kong Style

The flight to Hong Kong was long. I'd never had to sit on my ass for this long and it didn't help that there wasn't much choice on the inflight entertainment system. Fortunately for us we had three seats to make use of so we managed a few hours of sleep between us.

We arrived in Hong Kong late afternoon, figured out where we needed to go …

Today we went on a tour to the big Buddha. The tour bus name was Grey line tours. Our tour guides name was May. Our first stop was Avenue of Stars which has Bruce Lee's statue (he was a famous Kung Fu fighter) and Jackie Chan's (movie star) handprints. We next stopped at a jewellery making factory where they make all by hand. Mum and dad bought me a …

The Hong Kong History museum

A travel blog entry by christianmeyer

On our last day in Hong Kong we went to the museum of history. Amazing history about how Hong Kong came about, changes of rulers from Pirates to Chinese then British occupation. Amazing hard ship during world war II under Japanese occupation and the rise to its world status. Well worth seeing this. Did you know that the Japanese think that volcano' …

Day 5 - Our final day in Hong Kong. We set off in the 33 degree heat to the Hong Kong Museum of History. Such an amazing place as it starts at the evolution of the land formation of Hong Kong itself from floods to drought then to volcanic eruptions for thousands of years etc through to the history of Hong Kong and the people and events that …

Fabulous- impressive from the start. Stayed on floor 38, a club floor, and well worth the extra. Breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hours drinks are included in the price and served in the club lounge which has fabulous views over the harbour and Kowloon beyond. Haven't actually tried the restaurants here as last night we were too full from afternoon tea! Room not as big as one might expect but apparently not unusual for HK. Lovely room anyway though and bathroom great too- service fab. Free wifi and water in club rooms too as well as early check in and late check out.

The pool was about 1.90 meters deep. The noodles are the best at Hong Kong. The facilities included a grand ballroom, a pool, a restaurant, a spa and massage room and theres still more! the weather is 75 to 90% humidity which means that it's really hot. The noodles in Hong Kong are the best. There delicios.
