Fabulous- impressive from the start. Stayed on floor 38, a club floor, and well worth the extra. Breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hours drinks are included in the price and served in the club lounge which has fabulous views over the harbour and Kowloon beyond. Haven't actually tried the restaurants here as last night we were too full from afternoon tea! Room not as big as one might expect but apparently not unusual for HK. Lovely room anyway though and bathroom great too- service fab. Free wifi and water in club rooms too as well as early check in and late check out.

The pool was about 1.90 meters deep. The noodles are the best at Hong Kong. The facilities included a grand ballroom, a pool, a restaurant, a spa and massage room and theres still more! the weather is 75 to 90% humidity which means that it's really hot. The noodles in Hong Kong are the best. There delicios.

    • After much needed sleep in we were up at 7.30am and off for breakfast in the club lounge. We both enjoyed our favourite eggs Benedict I had mine with lobster and Peter had ham. It was very cloudy when we got up but it started to clear, so we decided we would go for a walk to stretch the legs. Caught the MTR to Causeway Bay had a wander …

... rectangular-shaped boat that was upside down. There were lots of fish around it, and quite a bit of coral growing on it though, so it was kind of cool.   We left the following day, and took a boat to Lombok, where we connected with a van to take us to Senggigi, Lombok's main tourist area. Laura had to head back to Bali to catch her flight, but I planned to stay in the Senggigi area before going back to Bali. So Laura took the fast boat back to Bali, and I found a ...

A full 24 hours in Asia and we have come up with an onward plan. China is out. It is big and the distances between places are vast. We love the little towns, and off the beaten track places and in China they are going to be ridiculously hard to get to (with 2 bored and tired kids in tow). Instead we are going to fly from here to Hanoi and then beach hop down the Vietnamese coast - on what we hope is a more family friendly ...

... Looking at flights there weren't many other options of places we could go that made sense. Even our top choice, the Philippines, is under severe tsunami warnings. In the end, we’re familiar with Hong Kong and have some friends here so we decided to stay here until Thursday of this coming week and fly to Shanghai earlier than Sunday the 20th to have a few days on our own. We owe a huge thanks to Sarah and Valerie at Air Treks travel for helping us navigate the ...
