... 2. Accomodation. When you're only budgetting a $100 per day, the price of accommodation can eat right into that. We saved a lot of money by camping 50 times, up to 6 nights in a row. But that brings a whole other set of issues such as buying all the gear, getting used to living out of a van and trying to get rid of it at the end. Couch surfing was also a good way to save money and meet people, but it took a long time to find hosts and it wasn't always a sure thing.

The cup of coffee was especially good this morning. I was sitting on the patio with my sister and brother-in-law in Paragould. I would have a long drive to Fort Lauderdale, Florida today and was all packed and ready to travel.

Coffee finished, we all walked to the car together. Camera in hand, I asked the sister and brother-in-law to stand by the car for one last picture before I left.

... The captain is being super-cautious with the passengers, particularly where climbing feet have polished the limestone, but it is not a difficult climb. Up the top there are caves which blow in high seas, and you can see the sea below through them. Again, extreme caution is observed around the un-protected voids. Looking out to sea and back to the mainland, the full range of blue and green water is on display, making for some great photos.

... In fact, because there were so few of us, they asked if we wanted to be upgraded to the full day tour for the price of the half day. Luckily all of us agreed that we would rather do the half day, as we had other things we wanted to do in the afternoon. So off we went to board our boat, Danger.
