Island Hopping - First stop Skiathos

Skiathos goed bekeken

Aangekomen daar, blijkt de kade ingenomen te zijn door verhuurbedrijven van zeilboten en kunnen we geen plekje vinden, althans denken we. We leggen vast aan een meerboei en gaan met de rubberboot op verkenning uit, we provianderen, informeren naar water op de kade en zoeken een plek uit om achteruit in te parkeren op de kade, want we moeten water hebben. My heart is still there
... of gold are in the sand. The best one and most known is Koukounaries Beach which means 'Stone Pines'. At Koukounaries there is a lagoon and a wooded peninsula with a Stone Pine
(Pinus pinea) forest separating the lagoon from the Aegean Sea.
It is said that Princess Diana used to go to Skiathos for holidays. I'm not surpirsed to be honest.

Exploring Skaithos
Our last few days in Skiathos we spent exploring more of their beaches and monasteries. The town is a very quaint place with a wonderful harbor and lots of cafes for relaxing. The airport is about 5 minutes from town so you can sit and watch the planes land and take off. We have had incredible weather with just one day of rain, the rest in the 80's and sun.
