... Province. It was completed in 1999.

Our plan was to travel to Yangdi and take a bamboo raft from their to Yangshuo. Mr. Wong would go with us and Mr Strom would drive on to Yangshou to meet us. Mr Strom, who was very nice to us, spoke no English so there wasn't much communication. Mr Wong could understand some of what we were saying, but was hesitant to speak in English. Before we took our boat trip, we stopped for lunch in town.

... nice or not. Afterwards, we found some underground hot springs, which felt much cleaner. Being China, it's hard to tell whether any of this was natural, or just constructed for tourists. Our tour guide often says "copycat nation"!

Our last activity in mainland China was cooking school. Despite me managing to drop most of the ingredients on the floor, it was great fun, and yummy food. And at long last, the sun came out.
