We also got to ride Route 66 for a little while.
We made it to the Grand Canyon around 5pm. From our accommodation, we are approx 750m from the rim. We walked down and its awesome. Its bloody scary too, coz there aren't many fences so I was standing way back from the edge.

The car has an indicator on the dashboard as to how much fuel is left, and it says 18 miles.
