... not anymore. The national side returned to Changsha to play another game and this time, I was not going to make the same mistake. For a total of 150 RMB (£15 roughly) I was able to buy a shirt, scarf and match ticket (almost unthinkable back home). The match (against the mighty Haiti) finished 2 - 2 and was one of the funniest games of football I have ever seen. At times it was like watching a sketch from a Charlie Chaplin movie. For the game, I was given a free ...
... hotels there for morning noodles and dumplings as I headed back for eggs and homemade bread by Steffan.
Dali has big crowds of Chinese tourists, not so many Euro backpackers. It's neat to see so many local tourists. China is no longer poor. It was a friends, he had lent it to me seeing as my mint green shirt was not green enough for him. Both nights were a lot of fun. The weather has also changed ...
... free lounge pass. After 4 hours of hanging around the lounge pondering life, I boarded my first-class upgraded flight home to KC where I suffered through our flight attendant's literal first flight on the job. It wasn't pretty but I passed out soon after we took off and slept most of the way to KC. We touched down just after midnight, book-ending a very long Sunday. I took a taxi home for the first time and the price ended up $30 with tip. Back to work tomorrow morning.
