... write for everyone but besides that I don't know that I'll have a whole lot more to write about before I leave. Maybe I'll post my final post after I return home and have had a chance to relax and distance myself a little bit from this experience, reflect on how things really went. For now, all I can tell you is that I'm extremely relieved that I've finished this portion of my Chinese studying and that I'm ready to come home.

... long jump, high jump, the 4X1 relay, shot put, and the 100 meter dash. There were also some not so classic events like a gunny sack race, four legged race (three people linked together), and soccer goal kick. I signed up for the long jump since I spent four years in high school doing that event, and I signed up for the four legged race with two boys in my class. As the night draws to a close so does the Dongwu Jie (Dragon Boat Festival) and my last night with my family this week. I was hoping to have a lot of crazy stories to tell everyone and lots of awesome pictures to share after this festival ended, however I don't really have either of those. You'll have to settle for the somewhat mundane stories I've gathered this weekend and the far too few pictures I took.

So that's my trip to the Great Wall. I'm sorry it's been so long in coming. Hopefully I'll get pictures up sooner rather than later. Life's been running full bore over here and I haven't been as prompt with entries as I would've liked. That's life though, and I'm getting thrm up eventually. This weekend/next week is the Dragon Boat Festival so hopefully I'll have some good stories to share from that.

... I'm there and don't understand what is being said. Her English is really quite good, as is her mothers but she's more self conscious about it and prefers to speak Chinese. The grandma doesn't speak English at all, but is still very nice. She does the cooking in the house because my Chinese mom is very, very busy with her job as a paper printing company manager and normally doesn't have time to cook.
