... and I put the ones of the Christmas market on for you mum, because I know it's just how you imagined, with lots of stalls with more Christmas things than you can poke a stick at, it is really difficult trying to decide what to buy when its all so great (and surprisingly not that expensive, well for how beautiful they are, I probably would pay more for them ). These are day photos though from Regensburg..... it is 10x better at night!!
Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany teiganduketis... that you push, which I think is really cool. They have a bread cutting machine which slices your bread however thick you want (except I'm scared to use it after seeing that workplace safety ad where the girl has her finger chopped off!!) Julia's little sister is so cute and follows me everywhere, so is extremely impressed with the tablet function on my computer and loves drawing pictires over the desktop. Their cats name is Momo ??? I'm pretty sure they said ...
Bogen, Bavaria, Germany teiganduketis... they surprised us with a cake with a flaming fountain for our 50th anniversary. They turned the dining room lights out and the oompah band played for us. We shared the cake with Jack and Suzanne.
The crew is very happy because we made it to Regensburg before we ran out of river water. It should be smooth sailing the rest of the way. The entertainment tonight was the German oompah band. They were very good and I bought one of their CDs.
... anyone was when I started going through the video footage from the Italy trip with my friends- that was hard. Yes, I cried. But I'm still having a blast and don't think about it much. Here recently, people have been getting care packages and such (with goodies, things they forgot, or things that we can't find here) and that makes me miss home a bit. I did, however, get my first piece of mail today! A very nice card from Jen (thanks for that, it made my day)!!! I'm ...

We also enjoyed several fun nights at beer gardens (I am beginning to be able to tolerate beer more now) with great company. I've made several good friends here, but the entire group is pretty cool in general, which is great!
Regensburg is one of the oldest towns in Central Europe, with the first settlement on the site dating back to the Stone Age. Its modern history dates to Roman times with the construction of the Castra Regina fort (a Roman fort) on the site; the Bishopric of Regensburg was established in 739. It was an Imperial Free City for nearly 600 years until 1803; for the last 150 of those years it was also hosted the parliament of ...
Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany mlbates29Today, everyone from the program got up and went on a boat ride to a site called the Wahalla, which is a replica of the Parthenon. It was a nice, peaceful ride with great company. The sun was out, it was just an absolute lovely day. When we got to the site, we had to climb many steps, but it wasn't anything new for me, I'm quite used to climbing steps these days. We walked around for a while, then went inside to see the busts and sculptures inside. We then trecked ...
Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany ab10... some coffee or, in my case, Sprite and a bite to eat. I was excited to finally see a slightly normal grocery store (yes, in the Airport) as opposed to the little super markets that didn’t have much to choose from I had grown used to in Italy and Greece. Tiffany finally arrived (after a very long delay and flight, poor thing) and we grabbed a bus to a nearby town then a train back to Regensburg.
When we made it to the train station in ...
... saw gas prices in Euros about 75 euros or roughly 105.00 usd. USA would be about 30 USD to fill the tank, luckily with the gov't agreement, we get gas for roughly 1/2 the price. Thank you USA Taxpayers! Working our way to Prague not knowing what exciting event is about to happen-make sure to read next post!
Regensburg, Germany manchas... fast and were at lunch around 11am...bit early maybe?? And somehow we managed to be the first ones, how could this be as we didnt pass anybody but arrived first. Were we that much better at map reading than the others...??? I didnt want to say anything but that indeed appeared to be the case. Many people had taken wrong turns and had added another 15kms to their total at the end of the day. We continued on and clicked an easy 33kms per hour at one stage, wind behind ...
