Hanoi Star Hotel I

... from that we didn't do a great deal. Rumit and Minal were missing their indian cuisine so we decided to go to an indian restaurant called the Tandoor. The food was great and i think Rumit and Minal really appreciated a good indian meal. Apparently it wasn't as good as back home so i'll be paying Rumit's family a visit when i return just so i can see, and taste, the difference for myself!

... We had a drink with them, while watching the traffic, crazy! We hit off towards the lake to get tickets to the Water Puppets! They were brilliant! Really funny! The local music was cool, a bit like sean os singing & that! Afterwards, we took a walk around the lake, stopped off for some Pho (local noodle soup, really good), where we ended up meeting a French couple we had shared a dorm with in Shanghai, small world! On the back to the hostel, we stopped off for a look ...

So that means nowadays there are streets with nothing but metalworking shops on them, another with just paint sellers, another that just sells toys. Its a surreal experience waling down a street which is entirely covered in soft cuddly toys on both sides!

Anyway we've booked off to Halong bay tomorrow so that should be really great!
