We loved this place. We had a room with a balcony on the third floor overlooking busy Hang Bac street. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Free internet was a big bonus too - as was the great restaurant across the way that did super omelettes! Great location and vibe.

      - Seeing Douglass! (Also obvious)

      - Normal, non-crazy traffic

      - It no longer being acceptable to lean on the horn of your motorbike, car or bus for The. Entire. Journey! ...

... each new generation, the home was carved up with a piece given to the eldest son and his family. In others, 7 or 8 often unrelated families share the space. In those homes, the sky well is partly or fully converted to living space. In the multi family homes, the different families take turns using the pavement out front for business -- often selling food. So one family sells morning pho, another ...
