Hanoi

So we got to Hanoi with our first train journey. I laughed sooo much on the journey, it all started with me Jess luke and Liz all getting on the train and me opening Liz and Luke's compartment to a woman breastfeeding her child on Luke's bed to which I went to close the door when the others said no don't shut it I need to get in so it ended up with …

Our first morning in Hanoi began feeling pretty rough. We weren't sure what to do with our day but knew we didn't want to waste it, so got up at ten and after breakfast, hit the streets. Hanoi is so busy and there's so much to take in. It has been the closest place to Delhi we've come across and has almost as many horns going on. The city itself is …

Arriving in Hanoi, we had collected our bags after a long and anxious wait and attempted to find the cheap shuttle bus into the city. Izzy and the Canadians, Shelly, Nicole and Meaghan, had agreed to stick together and navigate this new country and crazy city together. We couldn't find the shuttles bus however but managed to get in a minivan with …

Well our time is nearly up in Vietnam. We're jetting off to Bangkok tomorrow (for the 2nd time) It'll also mark 4 months on the road since we flew to Beijing in February.

Hanoi is as manic as Saigon. Motorbikes are all over the place and at times it looks like it's every man for themselves. It's amazing we haven't seen a crash yet but …

We jump in a taxi with 2 others from the bus, which our guy has negotiated for us at around 1/3rd of the original price when asked!! 4 people in a Panda car with all our luggage – the back seats half down to try and squish us …

We loved this place. We had a room with a balcony on the third floor overlooking busy Hang Bac street. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Free internet was a big bonus too - as was the great restaurant across the way that did super omelettes! Great location and vibe.
