In Hanoi angekommen merkten wir schnell, dass das ruhige und gechillte Leben, so wie wir es aus Vang Vieng kannten, zu Ende war! Permanentes gehupe... smog ...

... definetly has a French influence with the buildings, fountains, food, and an actual Arc de Triumph. 5 p.m. rolled around and I headed to the bus station.

So we left the station around 7 p.m. and we were on our way to Vietnam. There was about 6 foreigners aboard, the rest locals. I won't bore anyone with the details of the characters on board, but lets just say there were two pukers, snorers, and maybe a 17 ...

... bin ich dann los die Altstadtanschauen und meine restlichen 7 Postkarten schreiben, als ich dann in der Postoffice 21 Briefmarken gekauft hab (bzw 42 8000 und 2000 Dong) und dann angefangen hab die auf meine Postkarten zu kleben, eine Zunge so trocken wie ein Eimer Sand hatte haette ihr mal das Gesicht von der Kassiererin sehensollen..:)) . Am Abend bin ich dann noch mit den drednern was essen gegangen und n paar Bierchen ...
Hanoi, Vietnam shimmy08... jet legged - huge FML. Walked around and bought Lacoste sunglasses. I also feel really tall here.. haha. And I've got a scary tan on the very first day here. The first thing we ate was pho; it costed about $1.50 and tasted ten times better than Chinatown. hehehe. Going to sleep early tonight.. gonna wake up and go to Ha Long Bay at 8am and stay overnight.
