Oops... i was negative money. That wasn't the plan! I then starting pulling out my hair trying to figure out what to do. Coming to lapland so early isn't that great either as the main winter season doesn't start till early dec. My ...

Then in the afternoon I wandered up to see Southwark Cathedral. It's not far from the apartment. It was Gothic and really nice. I walked by the Thames for a bit, passing the Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern. I walked across the Millennium Bridge to the north side of the river and then came back across to just sort of relax and ...

-St. Bride's Church - its steeple is the inspiration for the multi-tiered wedding cake
-St. Paul's Cathedral - has been a church since 604. We may regret this, but since were so tired at this point, instead of going in, we took a nap on the steps.
-Cheapside - the street of shops where Shakespeare used to shop
-Bank Junction - saw all the important financial ...
... where they wrote a lot of songs, Strawberry Fields orphanage and Penny Lane to name a few. Our guide told us some interesting facts and then we sent to our hotel with a few hours exploring time before dinner. I just have to say it made me quite sad driving round Liverpool, there are so many boarded up houses about to be knocked down (including Ringo Starr's childhood home).
After a quick wander around the Arthur Docks and a visit to the Liverpool 1 mall ...
... U.S. cities, Hackney's ambitions are built on the rubble of centuries of decay, and some London taxi drivers still won't even accept fares to this area. On the other hand, artistic and activist types have always liked it. Tony and Cheri Blair once lived here, and wasn't that Julie Christie buying a chocolate cake at the Violet stall on Saturday??? (More about that tomorrow...)

London, England, United Kingdom adri204... selling every known cheese, all different kinds of cooked sausage and meats, seafood that were piled high on beds of ice, oysters the size that I'd never ever seen before. London, England, United Kingdom wendyhall... Palace. Atop the Victoria Tower is an iron flagstaff, from which either the Royal Standard (if the Sovereign is present in the Palace) or the Union Jack is flown. At the base of the Victoria Tower is the Sovereign's Entrance to the Palace. Of course, the other and the most famouse one is the Clock Tower (popularly referred to as Big Ben) which is 96 m tall and is located at the north-eastern end of the Palace. Although the term "Big Ben" properly refers only to the bell, everyone ...
