When we got to Fredericksburg, Texas, we were in the so-called "hill country" area. I still have a hard time understanding their use of the word, "hill", as I have seen nothing that could be considered a hill back home. There is, however, some undulation in the topography which gives some interest to the landscape. Also, there are trees and foliage that make the country more interesting.

It was all about LBJ today, with a visit to Johnson City and The Ranch. The visitor center in Johnson City is managed by National Park Service and at the ranch by State and National Parks.
Both locations were top notch. We really enjoyed the driving tour of the ranch. The park service provided a cd for our car, which was an audio guide. We really got to see the working ranch and then toured the Texas White House.
