      ... Sarah, Gen, Declan and Stu to find some alcohol to take back to the hotel. We got some cheap beer (surprising, given everything has been so expensive) and some Duff Beer. Once back at the hotel, I order some spaghetti bolognaise. We then all just chilled out and watched the sunset, and drank beers.       The same night, I rode a Funicular up to the top of this small mountain where a very small Christmas market was held, and what I mean by small is that there were 5 tents.

      Now that Europe has switched over to standard time, the sun is out til 8pm - a bit strange but nice as it pretty much feels like early summer with the T-shirt weather. So that's Lucerne in an afternoon. Unless you're thinking of doing daytrips to nearby Pilatus or Titlus, one day is probably good, and you'll also have time for a boat ride (free I'm told if you have a Swiss pass).
