First stop in Hokkaido
... doesn't come any fresher as we caught our own squid, had it cut up and ready to eat in one minute. And yes, it was still twitching on our chopsticks - just can't beat this! Of course we also had to try scallops, salmon, sea urchin, fish eggs and king crab…all to die for.
...Sorry Andy - just have to mention all the food - it's too good and such a big part of travelling in Japan!

... late for 5 mins to the bus, which is acceptable. And this experience again will be remembered in kids' brain.
If we just follow the itinerary, they won't remember much. If we do something crazy, out of ordinary, then it becomes an icon, something special.
