    ... tornadoes but still the possibility of storms. As such, we will stay snug and dry in our little boat home at our cute marina. We might even explore and certainly we will visit with our new friends who will be traveling with us down the Tom-Bigbee. As I write, Capt. Bart is puttering around as usual. I intend to do laundry, read a book and then plot our course for tomorrow. Naturally, we are hoping for warm sunny skies, smooth cruising and not too many barges.

    We finally left at 1:30 pm today. - five hours behind schedule -- so much packing! Marcia and Francisco both helped us pack and get ready. We had to give Quince a bath and pack clothes and food and supplies for six weeks of travel! And of course, take time for Travis to ride Drifter and take a tour on the Kubota. We went through SC, GA, AL and settled in Starkville, Mississippi. On the way, we stopped at two Flying J truck stops. TJ was able to meet some really nice truck drivers - one ...

    ... The ice chest can go back to it's original duty now. They did have a little bit of overheating in the locks, but they are old pros at this now. They have decided that they can finish the trip without having to find a marina with a lift to change ...

    ... had been delayed at the lock we would have not been able to make it to our next marina at Columbus Ms. I took some video showing what we saw on the chart for the Bashi creek anchorage and what we actually saw when we passed it.
