... tornadoes but still the possibility of storms. As such, we will stay snug and dry in our little boat home at our cute marina. We might even explore and certainly we will visit with our new friends who will be traveling with us down the Tom-Bigbee. As I write, Capt. Bart is puttering around as usual. I intend to do laundry, read a book and then plot our course for tomorrow. Naturally, we are hoping for warm sunny skies, smooth cruising and not too many barges.
We finally left at 1:30 pm today. - five hours behind schedule -- so much packing! Marcia and Francisco both helped us pack and get ready. We had to give Quince a bath and pack clothes and food and supplies for six weeks of travel! And of course, take time for Travis to ride Drifter and take a tour on the Kubota. The Eagle has landed for real! The guys have spotted three Bald Eagles now on their journey. These videos were taken somewhere along the Tombigbee River near Columbus, MS. Too cool!
