    First of all Buc-ee's is a Beaver. He is the mascot of a travel stop. There are cool billboard ads leading up to it that say things like, "It's un-beaverable," or "I spy beaver," and who can forget, "Ever have beaver nuggets?" Oh wait, "My overbite is sexy." It's in New Braunfels, look it up. They reputedly have the cleanest bathrooms around. I had to see for myself.     ... I go in and they did have scoops and low and behold in a case toward the end is Whitehouse ice cream. Go figure! We had gotten her a cone and a cup in case it dripped which it did.

    So we get off the highway in Rayne, LA to get ice cream after seeing a sign on the side of the road. We discovered much more.

    ... to mention, the highlight of pulling into the hotel....Chris and Kallen spotted the biggest John Deere store I've ever seen and it's within walking distance. Now I know why they both told me we should take a fitness walk tomorrow. Oh boy......Thank you Washington Alaska Make a Wish for giving our Son this amazing opportunity.

    Oh great. Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal just declared a state of emergency for this weekend for the hurricane headed to the coast. We better beat it outta here tomorrow, long pedal flat.

    Nice drive in the back roads. We saw miles, and miles of sugar cane, and got to one spot where they were harvesting this stuff. Wow, big machines, lots of them, heavy-loaded trucks.
