We continued on towards Natchitoches (without the car breaking down, seems James got lucky with his guess), but only got as far as Alexandria by the time it was dark and getting late so we had to start looking for accommodation. It was only now we realised we had a rental car that seemed to have one candle as it's headlights. There was more light from the moon than our lights, and it was cloudy!

After a short 4 hour drive from Dallas we made it to our campsite in Louisiana. We are pretty central in Louisiana staying in a national park right on a lake. Assuming there are no alligators it will be refreshing to swim in it because the humidity here is not very fun.
