... three hour drive into New Orleans so we should be there by noon. Our campsite is very nice. Has water and electrical outlets right next to the picnic table and even has a shower in the bathroom. I'm a little confused about how Louisiana handles the finances of their parks because we had to drive on a dirt road to get to the park but when we got here the bathrooms were air conditioned. I'm not complaining though because with the humidity I will take any air conditioning I can ...
... no hot water! Surprise of the day, we only had to pay $7/night...for the life of us, we can't figure out how the office came up with that figure. Sherry, the good person that she is, tried explaining the math, but they insisted. $14. Ok. Thanks. We like Louisiana math but I don't think I should try using it at work! ;-) Early night tonight. There were signs of a heavy rainfall all along the trail, with some muddy areas and water in the low spots. The trail itself follows the shoreline of this ...
... but I'm still sated from lunch.
That's about it regarding the days here. Most of the action that's going on is about our plans in the Florida Keys. What to see...where to go...who's doing what...and I'm not involved. I just sit back and listen, kinda, to the phone calls and nod my head. Oh, I do smile and complain a bit, but to myself mostly.
So that's it for now. I've taken a few pictures of the area and such and will post them next time.
