... beef brisket. Lucky for us we had already got used to only ordering one meal wherever we go. Had Mikes ice cream after lunch...we were unaware of its history, but the line had been out the door every time we had been past so figured we best see what the fuss was about. Half hour in line and was well worth the wait. The ice cream is made onsite and the selection of flavours is huge. Checked out the Country Music Hall of ...

... sampling everything, and were full to overflowing after about an hour! Satisfied, we caught a lift on a pedal cart to the Ryman for our concert, which also gave us some more relief from the stifling heat. The Ryman started out as a church but turned into an amazing historic theatre. We were told the acoustics are supposed to be amazing and Elvis Costello and his support act, a pair of sisters from Atlanta didn't disappoint. They played separately and together with ...

We were up in good time this morning to take full advantage of the free breakfast in the hotel, and then packed up our –by now dry- tent and left. Our destination today is "Music City" – Nashville – going via Chattanooga and Lynchburg, so it was shaping up to be a good day. The air was very cold, but thankfully dry as we hit the road, country music radio stations at the ready. Our first plan of action for the day had been to head up to Rock City in Chattanooga, which ...
