... we have now reached Ravenna in Ohio. Our stop for for the night is the Rocking Horse Inn, which we booked only this morning. It is a 'stick-style' Victorian house, once a convent, but now a fabulously quaint and ornate B&B. We have just had a wonderful impromptu dinner with our hosts, some local friends and another guest. Taken aback by such generous hospitality, it just shows that if you can't win them all, you can certainly win some of them.

... art on this vacation... keep breathing...

Speaking of breathing, I attended a two-hour session of Classic Yoga and Meditation this evening at The Yoga Room. The instructor, Maureen, was lovely-- she created this congenial, relaxed environment that came as a culture shock... she and students in the class were even asking me about my cross-country trip. It's funny to be away from DC and realize that yoga doesn't have to be a competition ;)

Another 530 miles today. No rain ::) Checked the weather and tomorrow looks nice in the Lehigh Valley, to have only 2 days of all rain out of 18 we REALLY lucked out. As you saw on previous posts there were some spots of rain and the storm in Minnesota on our way out, but all in all was the best we could have asked for. I always say a prayer to my dad and Shane's mom before we leave to keep us safe on the road ((they have both passed on) and someone ...

... landed us in Warren, Ohio where we bought some dinner at a supermarket that we warmed up in the microwave of the hotel room. We do this a lot actually. Most supermarkets have a fresh salad bar or ready to go take-home meals. It saves time, money . . . and calories.
