As teenagers they can go and sow their wild oats before they decide if they want to stay Amish and if so get baptised into the church and adopt the lifestyle. So is not unusual to see young ones out having a good time!! They are also not averse to asking for a lift in your car if it suits them. Funny people.

AND with our long drive through the traffic, we did not get a catalog for hotel specials, So when we register we get the normal price. Mind you there is a dog show in town and they would not give us the special price anyway.
... to the halfway mark of the trail--so reaching here is a big accomplishment to "Through-hikers", people who are hiking the whole trail between Maine and Georgia in just one trip.
