    So, here's the deal. From Oklahoma, we were all set to head to California, and all the states in between. But, frankly, we were getting tired of the 100+ degree days (about 40 degrees C) with no end in sight. So, a new plan was hatched. We decided to head north to Kansas to get to Colorado and the Rockies. Surely, the mountain air would be cooler, and a welcome relief.

    ... yip, plural)of dinosaur tracks in North America…. not passing that up. We saw a family of brontosaurus and an allosaraus (?). They think the meat eater was hungry and tracking the leaf eating family. The tracks were all over an area and on both sides of the river. We figured that we could do this tour and visit the old fort in one day, wrong, the tour took 9.5 hours. We will come back to see Bent’s Old Fort, it is a working, period reenactment ...
