... of biscuits waiting for us. Great stuff, we thought. How nice of the owner to bake us biscuits, only to see the said biscuits in the local supermarket, so not home baked but still a very nice gesture.

... about Fallingwater was the young, charming-yet-intensely-awkward teenage guide we had through the tour. He tried to tell jokes but he had an incredably flat tone of voice that his jokes just kinda hung there. He would take us to the next room in the house & then end his spiel saying "Any Questions?" in a challenging (yet flat) tone of voice that said you better not ask any questions.

I came to Pittsburg where i couldn't find any accommodation and had to stay at an expensive airport motel as the hostel had closed down. This may have been a blessing as it forced me to look in to Couch Surfing. A fantastic experience which turned out to be my only one of the whole trip.
