    ... where the big heads were. Seeing the moais in person is something I won't forget. Here are my takeaways from this part of the trip:

    • I was expecting Easter Island to be a tropical island. That's not the case. It's more like the Chilean countryside. Dry with few trees. It was a little warmer than Patagonia but not at all humid or hot like many of the tropical islands in the Pacific.

    ... those in need. ( have we ever heard of Muslims doing this ?) They offered that we could also eat the boiled lamb meat......(the downside of being with a tour group....we were on a schedule..) Photos look like piles of dirt......this was a mansion.
