"True Grit" History
While traveling from South Haven, MS to Van Buren, Arkansas we were astounded at the caravan after caravan of utility and tree service trucks headed east. It didn't take us long to realize that they must have been gearing up for the anticipated clean-up after Hurricane Sandy. Quite a site to see so much relief on its way!

... only to find we had arrived in a dry county, oh know, it was back to evie double quick and a quick hooch run across the state border to a drive through liquor store,more of the banjo stuff. The camp site is well off of the beaten track but we are at least experiencing stuff not on the normal tourist trail. Planning a Bar B Q tonight then it is on to El Reno, just West of Oklahoma City, Indian country.

Chasing Elvis
... a u-turn in a parking lot, and wheeled the Altima right into Elvis' driveway. The guard catapulted out of the guard house, saying "You can't drive in here!". His position did not alter even after we explained that we had Zeus in the car, and there were no other options. So, we turned around in the driveway, and snapped one picture out the back window before driving off in feigned disgrace.

“City Sidewalks, Busy Sidewalks” ̵
... of raindrops on my car windows created a kaleidoscope of ribbon candy colors as I drove through the greeting card depicted historic district. The magically animated windows came to life with an astonishing vintage bouquet of baubles and braids.
Windows embellished with winter’s festive finery were unveiled with Christmas trees threaded with cloud puffs of ribbon, and garlands of multi-colored passementerie.
