Denny and I traveled to Utah and decided to stay in Salt Lake City. We toured the capitol building, what better way to learn about what matters to the people of a state, and are comparing things in the city from our visit 30 years ago.

Second option was to drive on the more direct two lane backroads for about half the journey to Soda Springs and then connect to the interstate much further south. The big downside of driving the backroads is that if anything happens, we would be in some serious trouble in the middle of nowhere. And I don't even know how to change a tire, let alone fix an engine. LOL.

... very bouant. We all took turns, as Matt caught sea monkeys in his Gatorade bottle ( he eventually let them go). The water was extremely salty!! The view was amazing as we floated along with the mountains in the background.
After all of that floating we went back to our site and Tony barbequed us a yummy lunch as we watched rabbits run around like lunatics. ...

We pulled over and switched so I could drive through the rough patch, hoping it would end soon and checking our maps to scan the distance to the next town. Still sixty miles out and nothing but flat harsh lands to block our pass, we drove on. The gusts got worse and signs bolstered to the side of the road said +70mph gusts expected ahead.
