... place called the Bonneville Brewery that looks good... so we head off.
Place looks new... and is quiet, but the beer on tap is good... might even be the best one we have tried so far this trip.. food on the other hand, not so much. Anyway, couple of beers and a ball game on, we have a nice evening and then grab a cab back and call it a night. No big rush tomorrow only about a 3 hour drive... so little tv and some zzzzzz's. .. Over and out ...
... There is a Fort on the route called Cote Fort.. if you get a chance to stop in, do so.... it's very educational! Lol we didn't this time, as we had no spare time. Yes there is an inside joke there... again read previous blogs... I feel like I'm pushing my new book or something, plugging previous blogs! Lol
Right... back to the trip... like I said uneventful other than cursed Utah man... and we roll into Tooele ...
... intently and there were lots with 'Jesus' badges. I think there was a big Mormon event going on as large groups of them kept popping up everywhere.
So we escaped the weirdness and had a wander round the shopping mall at the city creek centre, again all completely pristine. We grabbed some quick and delicious dinner from Red Iguana at the food court before heading back to our hostel for a relaxing, warm ...
... and I had a few ports last night after dinner and Jamie decided to take our white chalk board pen and graffiti the guys bikes. Pretty funny some of the sayings etc he came up with, and the whole lot was caught on security footage.. Utah actually crosses a time zone in the states to so Jamie and I woke up this morning thinking it was 7.30 butt actually it was 8.30 so the guys were all ready to leave as we were mucking around getting ready ...
... missionaries assigned to take us around. One was from from Italy and one from South Africa.
Speaking of South Africa, Mormons didn't allow black people to fully participate in the religion until 35 years ago (something about blacks having the "stain of Cain")--so I would not be surprised if they send a high percentage of their young black missionaries to work at the Temple so visitors can see that, now, Mormons love diversity! No hard feelings! ...
