... history to visit Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum in search of the burial site of one of Patty's ancestors. We had a section and lot number. We did not have a map. That proved to be a problem. We drove around and around and around without ever seeing any section markers. We found Orville and Wilbur's graves, but not the one we were looking for. Maybe we should have done a little more research :0). We may try again tomorrow.

... Day; hearty thanks to Bill and Sandy Sowers. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from a lady for whom I took a picnic photo (on the Air Force Museum grounds) on my smart phone and emailed to her (she didn’t have a smart phone or camera and it was such a lovely picnic!) So fun to hear from a stranger in Ohio! Thanks to her and to my high school friend, Avis for pleasant surprise phone call this week. Feeling blessed. . .

There, there are exhibits of the Wright Brother's Bicycle Shop, their printing shop and all kinds of information about the concept, design and eventual flight of the the Wright Flyer 1, at Kittyhawk, North Carolina in 1903. Also, a whole section of the museum was dedicated to Paul Laurence Dunbar, a young black man who went to school with Orville and Wilbur and was involved in writing for their newspapers. ...
... with fields and fields of sweetcorn. The hotel just happened to be having a 'Manager's welcome evening’, which satisfied our dietary and thirst needs! There was also a much-needed (and utilised) guest laundry facility.

We invested in 2 food storage/prep items that worked really well for us-an electric Igloo cooler that plugged into our DC adapter in the van. We also purchased a converter so we could plug it in when we had electricity. This eliminated the need to be on constant search for ice and nothing was soggy!
