Wildfires! Less than a mile from my camp, there appeared to be a wildfire, burning madly out of control and in need of dousing. After a chat with a local sheriff deputy, I discovered that it was a 'controlled burn', to eliminate underbrush. ... gorgeous gardens and plenty of little waterfalls and the price has not changed. It is still only $10 a person. What a great value.
We soaked for a while. Ate a picnic lunch under the trees with the chipmunks. Soaked again. Lounged in the sun and allowed the lithium hot spring water do it's trick. We were all so relaxed that the short walk up the hill back to the car felt like climbing a fourteener.
