390+ miles from Custer to Steamboat Springs. This is the town where Jeff Davis, my friend, CCS roommate and Olympic Ski Jumper grew up. Based on the all seasons ski jumps one block from Main Street, I can understand how he trained!

This is a beautiful town with bike paths, walking trails and a roaring creek. I am eating at CV Bistro after …

We even talked about renting here in the furure. After visiting the library we walked the main drag in town. Checked out several stores including F.M. Light and Sons. Very filling but we did stop for a quick lunch at Arby's.

    ... headed up the hill.

Our hike was absolutely wonderful. We started off near a little creek. We walked through tons of wildflower fields and through beautiful, lush woods. We could hardly believe we were still in Colorado because it was so green. After about 2 miles of uphill hiking we reached tree line. The alpine bowls were filled with wildflowers, snow fields and amazing scenery. We ...

Most of you know our beloved South African daughter, Penny Taylor, who met us at the airport. She helped us find the ATM, get a South African cell phone, get on the express Gautrain to Sandton Station and then drove us to our hotel. Quite a help for our jet-lagged bodies and ...
