We have now left the magnificent scenery of the mountains, and are now driving across the prairie with not much to see. We are going to spend the night in Rawlins. It here we meet a few interesting characters and spend some time conversing with them. Lots of cute little cotton bunnies wandering around the camp ground. Looks like we have a nice night here in Rawlins, as it can be one very windy place.

Silver Pass City is an old gold rush town which now has only 7 inhabitants after the gold dried up at its Carissa Mine. ...

... of construction also, that reduced the traffic to 1 lane in places..The big trucks and cars that unfortunately got behind us  were "not happy".     We saw a lot of antelope today  and I saw  a coyote very close to the highway.  I have been waiting days to see some wild game.  ...

... road for a decent stay. Honey decided neither of those were an option, you see, he wanted to drive 2 more hours. Alrighty than...truck stop here we come!! Honestly, it really doesn't make much of a difference to me on this leg of the journey anyhow. We just need a place to park for 10-12 hours to eat some dinner, have a nightcap and jump in our comfy bed..than do it all over again in the a.m. I have a fan that I like to use at night to drown out the trucks ...
