I arrived about 10AM and of course my room was not ready but they did quickly stow my bags. After returning from church I checked in quickly and went straight to my room.
This is an older building, but the only evidence of it's age is a somewhat creaky elevator.
There was an excellent included hot breakfast.

So with food in bellies it was time to hunt down the Gingerbread Houses.
With no signs, clues or indications they somehow turned down an alleyway and there it was, the circular green with the Gingerbread Houses all around it.

... love to try. It's a known thing here called sweet bread. Comes in all sizes but paul got a large as its rays favourite. I tried some and personally I think it's the same taste back home as croissants but in a bread form. It was tasty but I couldn't have to much. A small slice and some raisin bran would do me.
