... night to make sure everything was safe and sound and the following day, the volunteers working the show, along with the police, were asking show folks how best to help us. It was heaven.

The other best part of this town was that our friends Glen, Barbara, Gina and Andy all made the trip out to see the show and hang out with us. It was as though no time had passed when seeing them (well, with Gina & Andy...we'd ...

... Mary write about New Bedford. Mary's Version Greg will talk about the Battleship Cove. The first thing we did after having lunch when we arrived was to visit in New Bedford was, well, the Visitor's Center. We saw that they had a walking tour of New Bedford, with the emphasis, that day, on the Underground Railroad. We saw that it would take place around 2:30, so we decided to go to the Whaling Museum first. Of course, whaling was a ...

... mansions! The walk was gorgeous and I imagine it would be really nice on the right day but it was a shame parts were closed off for renovation or due to hazards. I imagine had I been a bit more wreck less I could have scrambled about a bit and joined up onto a more stable part of the path but given that I was seemingly the only person out on the walk today I thought the better of it. I arrived about 10AM and of course my room was not ready but they did quickly stow my bags. After returning from church I checked in quickly and went straight to my room.

This is an older building, but the only evidence of it's age is a somewhat creaky elevator.

There was an excellent included hot breakfast.
