      Yet again another fort. This one spans about 150 years. First built in 1834 to guard Pensacola Bay, it was used through the Civil War, the Spanish American War, World War 1 and 2. It was decommissioned in 1946. There are very old parts of the fort with brick and mortar and later parts with concrete.
