We were staying with our chefs from camp - Kate and Alex and their family. We were the 7th and 8th people who had stayed with them in their house in Chicago - this is mainly due to the great food. The next day we went to explore Chicago with our friend Hannah (the lifeguard at camp). We all went to the Willis Tower to view the city from the sky deck and then went our seperate ways for the afternoon.
Yay! A much needed full night's sleep. We had a nice slow start to the day then headed to Chicago at 10:30. We being Bob, Tam and Joy Cochran, Perry Bauer and myself. It has been amazing having yet another refuge from the road. Having home cooked meals is something I have really begun to appreciate on this road trip and this stop spoiled me. Dinner the first night I arrived and breakfast every morning has been a wonderful luxury. ...
So in the end it was a wonderful trip. I honestly became totally burned out with all this writing and blog posting. It became more of a chore than anything else, and I'm not sure I’ll do it (in this way) again.

We needed to wait by the plane for our bags. I was very lucky because my laptop was in the zippered compartment of the bag, but the compartment was open. Fortunately, it didn't fall out. Then we started the long walk out of O'Hare. Grabbed a taxi and then to the hotel.
