Today has been noticeably cooler, with an expected top temperature of just 18C. Sarah headed off to work at the usual time, with the intention of wrapping up her commitments there by late lunchtime so she could have the afternoon off. Max received notification from Mr Lewis, the doorman of the building, that registered mail was being held for him at the front desk; I went down to pick it up for him. Mr Lewis strikes me as a character who would know all ...

At the time Maji had a wound above his right eye that was being treated twice daily with medicated ointment, so he wasn’t allowed in the water. Now I just have to wait until January 21st and I'll be on my way to ...

As you can imagine this did put me a little on edge and was very thankful when we got to the airport in one piece.

At check-in I was a little overweight (luggage-wise thank you very much!!!) so the ...

... Ferris wheel in the distance and smile to myself.  It's a beautiful sunny day and I'm finally going to be sitting in it high in the sky and hopefully snap some great shots of Chicago. The first thing I do however is walk the length of the pier to see what is on offer.  I walk through the hall of stained glass windows which is pretty and scope out the souvenir shops where I purchase a few items for my nephews.  I'm pretty sure I've bought more things for them than I ...
