Was fairly warm today, mostly in low 30s, we thought once we hit California we would start to cool down. Nope, it actually got hotter, high 30s by the time we stopped. Rode through some nice desert areas with lots of cactus. Lots of wind machines through this ...
... But still a nice 10 mile hike with excellent views and 3,500+ feet of elevation.
Late in the hike we decided to camp again at the same site as last night, so we drove the short 2 minutes back from the trailhead and had a buffet of mashed potatoes and corn "cooking" shortly after declaring the homestead. Then a quick trip downhill to town for firewood (they were closed but sold us some anyway) and another fire topped off the early night.
... lot to be grateful for and being with all of these different people reminded me how full my life is. Hopefully by next month I will have more to fill you in on my post-grad plans. As of now I am still waiting on grad school admissions and trying to wait patiently in the mean time.
By the way, I hope that Easter is time of love and peace in your lives even if you do not celebrate it necessarily.

... By the first week of Dec, several people started heading back home for Christmas: John/Shirley, Dave/Karen, Wayne/Lee, Wes/Sonja, Walter/Linda.
