      Another day in Washington DC

      Today we had a hop on tour guide who took us through the graves of the American Heroes, including the graves of the Kennedy's at Arlington National Cemetery. The grounds were beautiful!!!! There is over 450000 graves on 600 acres. And it is so peaceful, except for all of the squirrels running around!!! From there we went to Capital Hill, Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Oh what a morning!!!! We had a free afternoon ...

      We had a great group meeting and journaling session tonight and we are SO ready for a great day tomorrow! Dehning, Winter, and I taped all the doors shut. Ms. Winter told the kids it is a technique the FBI uses :-)! It is genius though... We also have a personal security guard in the hall so I don't have to sleep outside their doors!       ... as their social worker had had a tough week at work last week and they wanted to show her how much they appreciated her, it was suck a nice gesture and she was really touched. This was not done by halves; coffee was brought from Starbucks in a 2 litre dispenser (I didn't even know they sold these), there were enough dominos pizzas to feed a small army and staff had made all sorts of deserts.       Set off for a leisurely trip on Amtrak from Penn station to Washington .
