... members who were on the wall. It shows that history really effects the present and that people do not forget. We got a quick view of the White house before heading back to the car. It had been a long tiring day so we looked for the nearest Wal-Mart to spend the night which ended up being in Fairfax, Maryland. It was a nice drive through the city and through some small towns and it ended up being a very quiet night, or maybe we were just so tired we didn’t hear all the ...

... I stopped once I got to Martin Luther though...

The great thing about DC was how relaxed it seemed, easy to visit, wander around everything and if I didn't see everything, i didn't feel like i'd missed it. ... we knew it we were headed from Baltimore to the District of Columbia.

Many people teased me when they heard how excited I was for this trip to the capitol. They asked how I could be so excited for a trip in the states when I have done so much traveling abroad? Well, the butterflies in my tummy were fluttering just as crazy when we drove past the White House as they were when I saw Angkor Wat in Cambodia or Tikal in Guatemala! It is ...

... great. Like most people, I recognised only a couple of the songs and didn't know the the whole story so it was a real surprise and pleasure. I think if I lived anywhere near NYC, I'd make sure I went to the various plays and shows on a regular basis. What a way to leave your own reality for a couple of hours and watch some very talented people perform. And the only way to do it is to get the half price tickets! So worth it if you knew what you wanted to watch and willing to take a ...
