Ms. Winter told the kids it is a technique the FBI uses :-)! It is genius though... We also have a personal security guard in the hall so I don't have to sleep outside their doors! President Obama is due to address the nation, can't believe that we will miss this historic event by 1 day.The Martin Luther King memorial was very impressive, as was just about all the memorials we saw that night. We finished off with a walk to the White House. My first impressions of Washington are very favourable, it looks like a really nice city.

      Train and Chicago

... However your appearance is somewhat distorted due to it's shape. Good fun though. No use at all at night as the flash just reflects back on you. The city is an easy walk, again in a grid system and of course there is the old, and fantastic El train. El = Elevated sits above the streets and makes it even more claustrophobic. It certainly is a transportation throwback in time, but wonderful to see. Well then back to Union Station, one of the most spectacular railway ...
