      Well, we finally had to tackle the trek through LA. Neither of us was looking forward to it. We were on the road by 8:30 after a quick stop for gas. We decided to take the Pacific Coast Highway through Malibu to Santa Monica then take I-10 east the rest of the way.

      The drive on the PCH was very pretty, along the water once we got through Oxnard. Lots of surfers out, even at that early hour and hundreds of cyclists. Obviously a popular ...
