    ... on. You begin with pines trees in the top areas of the mountain range and as you drive those pines become palm trees further down the mountain. It was a very fun ride and incredibly, densely picturesque.

    While in Hemet, we could not resist featuring both a Pine tree and a Palm tree together in the same picture. Just can't wrap our heads around how Mother Nature can do ...

    ... closed-down businesses as we've seen in other places. We stopped briefly at a golf store where I was almost tempted by a new club, but escaped with all cash intact. At this point the temperature was back up to 23 and a beautiful sunny day.

    We continued on and soon found ourselves through Cathedral City and into Palm Springs. There really is no division between the cities; they just all melt into each other. We took the roundabout way back to I-10, passing through ...

    ... trip from here to Palm Springs, Indio and the towns around there. And we may take a few days to go to San Diego and do a few other one day trips. But mostly, I think we'll be parked.

    So...blogs will be a little more sporadic...I know, I know, how will you manage to start your mornings without a little vicarious travel? Not that any of you are reading this at work. I'll try to keep you posted if we do anything of interest beyond golf:)

    ... dropping her off and heading back to the house. I then went in the pool for a bit they seem to be having a heat wave at the moment here - it is currently 106F - it should be cooling down by this point. It actually didn't appear to be that hot when I was chilling outside before going into the pool.
