... We didn't venture out much this week either, other than our trip to Plano. Not for a lack of things to do; there is Fort Worth Historic Stockyards, Fort Worth Zoo, Texas Motor Speedway and Dallas's Southfork Ranch with the Ewing's mansion that was used in the tv series. Hopefully the weather over next two days will improve and we can see some of the western heritage that is so much the heart and soul of Dallas.

        Bye for now. Stay well.

... On our return we went into the coffee shop adjoining our hotel for a last coffee. The rain had abated by then, so we went to get some last photos before finalising our packing and checking out. By the time we were on our way to the airport, the weather had deteriorated, and the rain was very heavy. ... deciding on tonight's restaurant, we went back to the hotel to organise the shuttle to take us shopping for last minute items. We arrived back in time for happy hour and our free wines before going out for dinner. However, we needed to slip into Buffalo Bill's to look at some possible gifts. We were lucky enough to come across couple of gentlemen who proceeded to try on hats for a laugh. We took photos.....
Dinner and sadly, we will be leaving tomorrow ...

Took a bit of a break while in El Paso--the continuous triple digit heat really zapped my energy by evening! I didn't take the luxurious naps that Chuck enjoyed every afternoon. He and the chaise lounge in the Holguin's living room became well acquainted! We spent an entire week in El Paso & had a wonderful visit! Elina Leonor Beaty kept us highly entertained with her repertoire of antics. She absolutely floored me during our visit to the El ...

... illness was very unexpected, I was able to process it with some sense of logical reasoning. I had no idea that when I left for Korea and I posed for my "going away" photos with my father, that it would literally be the last photo I took with him. I learned of his stage 4 cancer diagnosis and prognosis in May 2013, I was able to make it back home by July 13, 2013, and by September of the same year, I was getting that phone call. Although I had very little time to process, I ...
