... for me. Halfway through the hike I looked a little closer to the upper left corner of the map page, you know, the trail ledger. Opps, I choose the most difficult "very rugged" trail for us to walk on. Of course I did not inform Caryn of my brilliance until we were back at the car.

We both had seen this cool thing on Pinterest in which you collect dirt from various states/places and then layer it in a mason jar, labeling it layer with the place. ... the stagnant lakes. The forests have since filled in but the ponds/lakes remain testimony to what occurred here.


We rode the scooter through many miles of campground roads and neighboring country roads. We also had a great time going horseback riding at local stable. Couldn't believe the price, $15 for a 45 minute ride through a lovely forested area.

... and they help me with my Spanish while I help them with English. We laugh easily together, we respect each other, and we look out for each other. There isn’t a time that goes by where I don’t have someone materializing out of nowhere to help me carry the laundry or John’s props.
