... and once again I had to submit to mother nature. I retreated to the beach to lay down and stare into the vast empty space filled with so many little stars above me. It was pitch black where we were. But before I could start looking at the lights above me, I noticed an unnatural looking green glow below. ... an interesting place with historic rooms, regular rooms, cottages, and cabins. We stayed in Blanco House #2, a cottage which was very nice. We went for a walk on the Cibolo Trail right outside our door, and ended up at a park with many ducks. Walked back through town, and then went to eat dinner. We ate at Sarika's Thai restaurant, which was excellent. Back at the hotel we read in/by the hot tub for a while, then called it a night.

... tankers are lined up outside the port entry, ready to make their way into the harbor of Corpus Christi. There are countless oil refineries throughout the surrounding inland area. As you fill-up today, thank the “US corporate OIL production pipeline” coming out of the south Texas area—alongside a pristine coastline featuring a vacation area such as Mustang Island and the Padre Island National Seashore.

... so we had to walk for a bit. We passed by an area where they were flying kites of all shapes and sizes. Julian just wanted to play in the sand so Robin promised him he could after we looked at some of the sculptures. Pretty soon we entered the area where all the vendors and amateur sculptors were. They had an area set up where anyone could learn how to sculpt. Julian and Tyler had a good time trying to build something and they ...
