... even after the 100th time of being asked, "aren't you worried about Kristi doing this!?" ha). Although it may look to the outside world that I'm doing this alone, I couldn't possibly do this without you.

I will do my best to keep in touch - but even when you don't hear from me, know that I carry you all with me along the way.

... The Pit Rib House, recommended by the lady on reception. Apparently they do some amazing BBQ food, all cooked over fresh burning wood. We had actually passed this on the way to the hotel, but hadn't spotted it.....

When we got there, the smell outside from the burning wood was just great (yes, I know I am weird). On entering the restaurant it was like a shrine to a bygone era. Almost like some of the places I expect to find on Route 66 next week. Well, ...

Jessica had classic KC BBQ from Oklahoma Joe's, which serves out if a Shamrock gas station and is considered among the top five BBQ places in a city known for BBQ. I knew it would be ...

    Field Museum and Alinea

Dinner at Alinea was great. I'd rate it as the best restaurant I've visited on this trip. Everything is intended to make you approach food in a new way including the way the food is served. One course was suspended between four thin wires. Another had to be sucked from a glass tube. Dessert was served directly on a latex tablecloth by Chef Achatz himself. Dinner at Alinea is quite an experience.
