    I'm sitting in the Charlotte airport on my 8 hour layover, drinking a cold beer and reflecting on the last 10 years. This trip is far and beyond anything I've ever done before, and it is really exciting. Especially since I still don't have half of it planned yet!

    ... called me back and told me to go to the counter and get a seat and if she wouldn't give me one to call them back. This time I got a seat. I think the problem was it was a full flight and she didn't want to be the one to pull someone off the plane to get me on the flight, which I don't blame her but a deadheading flight crew has a seat no matter what.
