We headed to the HUGE shopping mall just down the road from the track for lunch and a walk! I managed to buy a pair of cowboy boots here (yah!) and soak up some of the sights and sounds of being so close to the ...

Wednesday was a really exciting day with us jumping in the car heading south through Tennessee to a small county called Lynchburg. This county is interesting due to it being a "dry" (meaning it is illegal to sell alcohol, or have any alcohol in public), however the worlds #1 known brand of whiskey is produced here. I was so glad that I kept a blog of my last trip and had great feedback from those who read it, that I decided to make another one for this trip. My friend (Marie) and I are headed to 3 great countries: France, Italy, and Spain and are excited for it all to start! Flights leave tonight.....tomorrow = ...

We're surprised but relieved that it wasn't cancelled. On the downside it took 35 minutes for our baggage to appear in area baggage area after we deplaned. That's longer than our upcoming flight from ...

... and wait staff worked. Helen had prime rib, Suzanne had chicken and Larry and I both had salmon. It came with mashed potatoes and steamed julienne vegetables. We all thought our meals were good. We were taking bets on what the dessert would be: key lime pie or banana pudding. We were pleasantly surprised to get strawberry cheesecake and it was very good. Our cruise on Lake Norman would have been more memorable in good weather but we ...
