Then, when on the road, I decided to face one of my ridiculous dislikes/fears. Those who know me well, know that I have an unnatural dislike/fear of cornfields. Nothing good comes out of cornfields. Every movie that has ever had a cornfield, has had something not right come out of it. And for those who will say, "Oh, but Field of Dreams" was ...

... they were to experience 60 knot winds which is hurricane strength so that's why they had a detour.

All in all I had a fantastic trip and highly recommend a voyage to Alaska. Someday I'd like to take the land and sea trip which is 2 weeks long - perhaps that will be a retirement trip to myself.

At the Central Illinois Regional Airport on the outskirts of Bloomington. I included a photo of the closest sign to where I parked my car. Not so I can show all my friends the wonderful parking sign. It's so I can check it to remember where I parked when I come back. So everyone remember where we parked!!!

July 13 The Trip to Illinois

We left Wisconsin and all the drinking and celebrating behind and headed for Bloomington Illinois. Actually, we headed for an rv park that was outside Carlock, Illinois which is outside Bloomington. By this time I'm coughing, sneezing, have a scratchy throat and a runny nose...I just want a hot shower and my own bed! The plane leaves about 30 minutes late but we're back in Bloomington by 9:10 p.m. Yeah I'm finally home. What is it with cruises and me getting sick? When we returned from the cruise to the Caribbean I had walking pneumonia.
