          Day 11

A travel blog entry by zuwicki on Aug 02, 2015

... chuckle. On our last day in Sturgis after a nice ride we were headed back to the hotel and I noticed a sign along the side of the road. There was a bar that had a sign out front that showed "riders and fender fluff welcome". Well needless to say that got my dander up! It still works me up thinking about somebody putting that on the sign. I told Shane about it when we ...

Students arrived on Sunday, the same day I was working through the supply boxes and handouts and realizing some stuff was missing. I also checked my classroom and discovered a few issues... Issues I had anticipated and communicated to staff about. So Monday and Tuesday classes were rough. I mean on the surface, they went fine. I gave interesting lectures and students discussed and worked in groups. It was ...

2 hour flight to Philadelphia + 20 min train ride to center city + 2 hour wait/lunch + 1.5 hour bus ride later... I am at Lehigh University!!! It is a gorgeous campus with a lot of hills and concrete steps. The midday heat rivaled that of Atlanta. I managed to get checked in, shower and nap before going to an all staff dinner! It's a much bigger camp with 14-15 staff members and 120 students! Seems like a diverse, nice mix of people. I am ...

... I think there were more people in "altered states of mind" than anyone else! Luckily the people on the bus itself were relatively normal. The bus trip to Bethlehem took about 2.5 hours but once I got there I had to wait an hour for a taxi! I’m so used to seeing taxis everywhere that it was really strange to be somewhere where there were hardly any!

Matt and his team were staying at the historic Hotel Bethlehem; a really beautiful old hotel. That night Matt ...
