We are finishing Day 2 in Albany, NY. Gorgeous day. 77 and blueskies. Perfect. We started at Maid of the Mist. I was forewarned to start out early to miss the crowds and lines. ... The farm is complete with corn field mazes, farm animals, gold old kids rides and just all round family fun! We started off with Phase 1 maze and we conquered it easily. When it was time to do phase 2 maze, Cathy quickly said that she was taking the girls to the animals so Michael, Jack, Dave and myself started phase 2. ... into the distant. Gorgeous gorgeous place and oh so green, so different to back home. On the way back, we called into a shop that sold a lot of novelty giftware, which had us all in stitches from laughing so much. We also stopped at some covered bridges in Bennington which remind me so much of Bridges of Madison County. All round great day, getting to see so much and everything so different to home. ...
... It would be magical in winter time with all the snow around. After dinner we went for a walk around the streets with Cath and it is so lovely to see the different style of housing here in Niskayuna compared to home. Cath and Michael's home is gorgeous and very spacious. We were both very tired so had an early night and before we knew it it was 9.45 am the next morning. ... NY. Settled in for the night for Honey to watch the BSU/Fresno game.... at 9:00 pm....games sure start late here in Eastern time. I spent the evening pouring over maps and websites trying to map out our tour of the New England States. There is sooo much to see and do and we don't want to miss a thing!!!
Tomorrow we will wake up and decide where to go from here! So excited!

Safe area near lots of restaurants with outdoor eating. Restaurants on the premises. Delicious calamari salad. Rooms are clean.Staff is pleasant. Comfy beds. Complimentary breakfast.
