900 Post Road Wells, Maine, United States, 04090
On Thursday, 5/24/07, we loaded up the car for the drive from NJ to Southern Maine. We arrived at the Hampton Suites in early afternoon and checked in. After stowing our things in our HUGE two room suite, we drove over to the Perkin's Cove area and walked the Marginal Way...a scenic walking path along the rocky shoreline. We explored some tidepools, took lots of photos and then sipped a cocktail on the patio of the Oarweed which overlooks the walk and the ocean. After wandering around the qua...

Just spoke to Julie. I couldn't join her today. She walked for 3 hours. I think she earned that glass of wine we're going to have at 6. O'clock or number of glasses? I forgot to clarify.
Our journey began on Sunday. We did our first 6 miles, drove to Andover to shop at Whole Foods and got on a road lined with pizza shops and chain restaurants. Julie said, "we're going to find the best ...
... during our trip we have to,
1. Cook dinner for a Swedish family
2. Get invited to dinner by a Swedish family
3. Take 2 Sweds out to dinner
4. Go to at least 1 community event, fair, gathering or protest
5. Walk/Run 20 miles a day
Along the way:
Heading to Portland, Maine (to visit Tom, Denise & Foster) we drove from Milton, through the Lewiston border crossing (N of Niagara Falls), through New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and finally into Maine, an 11 hour drive. Surprisingly, there are no orchards or farms east of the Niagara River – it's all bush.

Well here we are lightship bobbing about at anchor. My first sea voyage for eight years was three miles from Portsmouth, New Hampshire out to anchor. We have been here 3 weeks now and are stuck here until a cargo is found for us; although we will soon need bunkers (fuel) so may go back into Boston at some ...
Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States patsypink... pictures from the top. The biodesiel train ride was really neat too, at one point it is actually pointed up at a 37 degree angle. When you stand up on the train you have to lean so far forward so you don’t fall over. Amazing views and a nice relaxing way to get to the top of the mountain!
Continue to check back as we will update this travelblog as we go places. We have a weekend of basketball planned for November in Providence and a trip to Germany over Christmas vacation!
I am going to be keeping an online journal while I'm down in Australia and New Zealand, so I am setting it up now to get all the kinks out before I go. I hope I can make it so anyone can read it who wants to, so I won't have anyone telling me I didn't update them often enough! :-) I hope everyone will enjoy reading this while I'm gone; I am leaving in a month and a half, and I have a feeling that time is going to fly by!
Wells, Maine, United States cmukon... to share was more than enough to stuff us silly. We sat and ate them in big wooden chairs next to the camp fire that was burning away in an attempt to stave off the chill of the autumn morning.
As the site is really nice and well cared for, even at this late stage of the season, we had decided to stay for another night and so waddled across to reception to book in. Then we waddled to the phone to call ...
