This would be the first time that 2 out of the 3 of us would hitchhike! We were camped about 2 hours from the start of the trail. The bus that could take us to the valley wouldn't leave until 10, so hitching would be our only option.
Before we even got out of the campground I saw a guy about to get into his car and yelled out " aye , you headed to the valley? Do you have any extra room?" and Alan had a ride! 1 down two to go.
