... history to visit Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum in search of the burial site of one of Patty's ancestors. We had a section and lot number. We did not have a map. That proved to be a problem. We drove around and around and around without ever seeing any section markers. We found Orville and Wilbur's graves, but not the one we were looking for. We stayed one night in Amana, IA, toured and shopped in the Colonies, ate at the Ox Yoke Inn and the Ronneburg Restaurants. Drove across Iowa, Indiana and Illinois. ... we got to listen to the truckers planning and scheming. Made it to Dayton, or at least to Brookville, Ohio, just north and west of Dayton. We had to come to another KOA and this one is north of I70 so we can hear the hiway in the distance but, the tree frogs or cicadas are so loud that they kind of drown out the hiway. So far, we have not heard any trains...other than the one they use in this park to take kids on rides and take their parents ...

... with fields and fields of sweetcorn. The hotel just happened to be having a 'Manager's welcome evening’, which satisfied our dietary and thirst needs! There was also a much-needed (and utilised) guest laundry facility.

Tuesday morning we set off to ‘do the museums’. Dayton is the birthplace of aviation as the Wright Brothers (Orville and Wilbur) had their bicycle shop and business here. ...
